Elizabeth A. Clark, Ed.D., joined 91ÖÆƬ³§ as Associate Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction in May 2012. She is responsible for providing direction, evaluation and leadership for the overall curriculum and instruction program of the district.

Dr. Clark brings more than 40 years of educational experience to 91ÖÆƬ³§. Formerly, she was chief academic officer with the Katy Independent School District. In addition, Clark has been a teacher, instructional specialist for social studies, dean of students, junior high principal, assistant superintendent, deputy superintendent, chief academic officer, and college adjunct professor and lecturer.

While she has been very involved in many professional organizations, her primary involvement is with the Texas Association for Supervision & Curriculum Development (TX ASCD), where she served as president in 1995-96; Texas Council of School Women Executives, where she served as president in 2001-02; and the Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA), where she is the state trainer for “50 Ways to Close the Achievement Gap.”

She is a certified curriculum management auditor for Curriculum Management Systems Incorporated and a trainer for TASA and TX ASCD. She also has worked extensively with several districts throughout the state of Texas in the area of curriculum management and leadership development. She has written numerous articles for publications such as: AASA Quality Network Journal; Association for Texas Professional Educators Journal; Lone Star; NASSP Bulletin; TexasSchool Business; TASA Insight; Leaders of Learners for TX ASCD; and Organizational Health Diagnostic & Development Corporation. Clark has also worked on several research projects, particularly in the development and implementation of automated curriculum management systems.

She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Arkansas and her master’s and doctorate degrees from the University of Arkansas.
